IIM Sirmaur Non Teaching Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria (Post-wise)

1. Superintending Engineer

  • Qualification: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university/institute with at least 55% marks.
  • Experience: At least 15 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years as Executive Engineer at Pay Level 12, or 13 years of regular clean service at Pay Level 11 as Executive Engineer. Alternatively, 15 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role or as head of a project unit in Government/PSU/university/autonomous bodies, or as an Executive Engineer-equivalent in private organizations such as Larsen & Toubro, Tata Projects, or Shapoorji Pallonji.
  • Age: Preferably below 50 years.

2. Chief Administrative Officer (CAO)

  • Qualification: Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks; candidates with LLB preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years at Pay Level 11 or 10 years at Pay Level 10, in a supervisory capacity in Government/PSU/university/autonomous bodies, or equivalent private-sector experience as General Manager (HR & Administration).
  • Age: Preferably below 50 years.

3. Finance Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (FA&CAO)

  • Qualification: Pass in the final examination of CA/ICWA/CMA, or MBA (Finance).
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years at the immediate lower Pay Level 10, having served as Head of Finance & Accounts in Government/PSU/autonomous body/private institution of national repute, with demonstrated experience in finalization of accounts and balance sheets. Exposure to CAG audits is an added advantage. Equivalent private-sector experience as General Manager (Finance) is also considered.
  • Age: Preferably below 45 years.

4. System Manager

  • Qualification: B.E./B.Tech./MCA in Computer Science/Information Technology from a recognized university/institute with at least 55% marks.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years at Pay Level 10, with experience in ICT infrastructure and website management in Government/PSU/university/autonomous institutions, or equivalent private-sector experience as General Manager (IT).
  • Age: Preferably below 45 years.

5. Administrative Officer (AO)

  • Qualification: Master’s degree (First class); MBA (First class) or equivalent PG degree in Management preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years relevant work experience in General/Academic Administration, including at least 5 years at Pay Level 8 and above in Government/PSU/university/autonomous body/private institution of national repute, or equivalent contractual experience at IITs/IIMs/CFTIs or comparable corporate experience.
  • Age: Preferably below 45 years.

6. Hindi Officer

  • Qualification: Master’s degree with 55% or above in Hindi with English as a subject at degree level, or Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a subject at degree level.
  • Experience: Minimum 6 years relevant work experience in Government/PSU/university/CFTI or reputed private-sector corporates, or comparable contractual experience at IITs/IIMs/CFTIs drawing at least Rs. 62,000/month for the last 3 years.
  • Age: Preferably below 35 years.

7. Hindi Translator-cum-typist

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Hindi with 50% and above; MBA in Hindi language preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in Government/PSU/university/CFTI or reputed private-sector corporates.
  • Age: Preferably below 30 years.

8. General Manager (Administration) – Contract

  • Qualification: Master’s/Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university/institute with at least 55% marks.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years relevant work experience, including at least 5 years as Head of Administration, preferably with CFTI experience. Retired Central Government/Autonomous Body officials at least at PB-3 with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600 (or equivalent) with 20 years’ administrative experience, including 10 years as Head of Administration and experience managing large residential campuses, are also eligible.
  • Age: Preferably below 50 years for serving candidates; below 65 years for retired persons.

9. Chief Security Officer – Contract

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in any discipline with 55% and above; Ex-servicemen retired at the level of Lt. Colonel or above preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years for Short Service Commissioned Officers and officers who held the rank of Assistant Commandant in CRPF, BSF, ITBP, or other Central Armed Police Forces. Experience in electronic surveillance systems and managing security of large residential campuses is preferred.
  • Age: Preferably below 56 years for serving candidates; below 65 years for retired persons.

10. Legal Officer – Contract

  • Qualification: Professional Law Graduate (LLB) with extensive experience in Government/PSU legal matters, service matters, labour laws, land laws, and liaising with Government offices; hands-on drafting and vetting experience required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years dealing with legal matters in Government of India/PSU/companies. Practicing advocates with a proven track record may also be considered on a retainership basis. Excellent English required; Hindi proficiency preferred.

  • Group B & C Positions: Selection is based on performance in a Written Test, Skill Test, and Personal Interview.

Written Test & Skill Test Pattern (Group B & C)

The Written Test is an MCQ-based test carrying 50 marks with a duration of 90 minutes, structured as follows:

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
