Educational Qualification

Post Qualification
Staff Car Driver Class 10th pass from a recognized board; valid Transport (Commercial) Driving License; experience driving all types of vehicles required. Skilled/experienced mechanics preferred.
Lift Man Class 12th pass from a recognized board; trained in wiring/electrician work from a government-recognized ITI. Candidates with lift operation knowledge/experience certificates preferred.
Contingency Fund Employee Class 8th pass from a recognized board/school only. Candidates with qualification higher than 8th will not be considered.

Salary

  • Staff Car Driver and Lift Man: Pay Level 4, Rs. 19,500 – 62,000 per month
  • Contingency Fund Employee: Daily wage as fixed by the Collector, Bilaspur, from time to time

Exam Pattern & Selection Process

Staff Car Driver

  • Written Exam: 100 marks (Motor Vehicle Act-based questions); minimum 33% required to qualify
  • Practical Exam: 100 marks; minimum 40 marks required to pass
  • Bonus: 5 extra marks for candidates with a mechanic certificate from Polytechnic/ITI/authorized vehicle dealer
  • Merit list prepared from practical exam marks plus applicable bonus marks; ties broken by date of birth (older candidate ranked higher)

Lift Man

  • Written Exam: 100 marks (wiring, electrician work, lift operation and maintenance); minimum 33% required to qualify
  • Practical Exam: 100 marks; minimum 40 marks required to pass
  • Bonus: 10 extra marks for candidates with a lift operation knowledge/experience certificate
  • Merit list prepared from written exam marks, practical exam marks, and applicable bonus marks

Contingency Fund Employee

  • Selection through a Skill Test relevant to the specific post
  • Merit list prepared based on skill test marks

Admit cards will be uploaded on https://highcourt.cg.gov.in/. Candidates must carry a valid photo ID (Driving License/Voter ID/Aadhaar Card/Bank Passbook/PAN Card/Smart Card) to the exam. No separate call letter will be sent by post. No travel allowance will be paid for attending the exam.

Reservation Policy

  • Reserved posts for SC/ST/OBC and women are available only to candidates who are genuine local (domicile) residents of Chhattisgarh. Candidates from other states belonging to SC/ST/OBC in their home state will be considered only against unreserved posts.

Other Important Conditions

  • Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
  • Applicant must not have more than one living spouse.
  • Applicant must be of good character and physically and mentally fit.
  • Applicant must not have been dismissed or removed from service by any High Court, government, or statutory/local authority.
  • Applicant must not have been convicted of moral turpitude or debarred by any High Court/Public Service Commission/Selection Board.
  • Applicant must possess the required qualification as of the last date of application receipt.
  • Candidates convicted of an offence against women are not eligible; cases pending under laws relating to offences against women/children (including POCSO) will keep the appointment pending until the case is finally decided.
  • Applications received without signature, in a format different from the prescribed one, or without the required documents will not be considered, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • The recruiting authority reserves the right to reject any or all applications at any stage without assigning reasons, and to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage.
  • Selected candidates (Staff Car Driver and Lift Man) will be appointed on a three-year probation period, extendable by one additional year if not successfully completed; service can be terminated without assigning reasons if probation is not completed successfully.
