Nationality and Domicile
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India
- The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam
- As domicile proof, candidates must upload a valid Permanent Resident Certificate issued in Assam for educational purpose, or an Employment Exchange Registration Certificate, which will be treated as proof of residency
Educational Qualification
- Full-time Diploma course in Engineering from any Government/Government-recognized/AICTE-approved Polytechnic or Institution
- Course duration must be a minimum of 3 years after HSLC or equivalent, or 2 years (Base) + 2 years (Diploma) from a Government/recognized/AICTE-approved institution
- Minimum 60% marks required in the qualifying examination of the Diploma course (minimum 50% for SC and ST candidates)
APSC Junior Manager Age Limit
Candidates should not be less than 21 years and not more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2026.
Age Relaxation
Age will be calculated based on the Class-X/Class-XII Examination Admit Card/Pass Certificate/Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council, where the Date of Birth is clearly reflected. No other document will be accepted for age proof.
APSC Junior Manager Salary
Pay scale, grade pay, and other allowances will be as admissible to Assam State Government employees from time to time.
APSC Junior Manager Application Fee
- To avail the fee relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/BPL, candidates must produce a certificate of the claimed category issued by the competent authority
- Applications without the prescribed fee will not be considered and will be summarily rejected, with no representation entertained against such rejection
- Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances, nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection
APSC Junior Manager Selection Process
The selection procedure will be notified later, followed by a corrigendum/addendum if required. The Commission will decide the provision for selection for any post/service considering its status, cadre, grade, or the number of applications received. The Commission may also decide to conduct examinations/tests zone-wise, depending on the number of candidates against the districts in each zone.
The Commission has the discretion to reduce or increase the number of zones depending on the number of candidates.

- Caste certificate issued by the Government of Assam, for candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC/MOBC, from the competent authority
- BPL certificate issued by the Government of Assam, wherever necessary
- Certificate of Benchmark Disability of 40% or more, issued by the competent authority, for PwBD category candidates
- Certificate of employment against the applied post, issued by the competent authority, for candidates already in regular Government service
- No Objection Certificate (NOC), for candidates seeking pay protection or continuation in service
- Experience certificate, wherever necessary
- Declaration Form-A regarding the Small Family Norms, as per Govt. Notification No. ABP.69/2019/17 dated Dispur, 6 November 2019 (downloadable from www.apsc.nic.in, Forms & Downloads section)
- Recent photograph (50 KB–200 KB, not older than 3 months) and signature (50 KB–200 KB)
- Identity proof such as PAN Card, Driving Licence, Passport, educational institution ID card, Voter ID Card, or Aadhaar Card, to be produced at the time of screening/written test and interview

- If not already registered, click on the ‘Register Here’ link and complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process with the required basic details
- Register with a valid and active email address and mobile number
- After registration, log in using the registered email/mobile number and password
- Provide the required registration details as asked in the form
- Read the eligibility criteria and other relevant details carefully before applying; mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*)
- Upload the required documents/certificates (Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, caste/category, etc.) in PDF format, along with a recent photograph and signature
- Fill all details carefully, tick the declaration checkbox to enable the Preview option, and confirm that uploaded documents are clear and legible
- Click ‘Proceed to Pay’ to continue, or ‘Cancel’ to make corrections – no editing is allowed after final submission
- Pay the prescribed application fee as applicable to your category
- Take a printout of the submitted Online Application Form and retain the hard copy for future reference
Candidates note: before filling the application form, the required certificates relating to age, caste, and minimum educational qualification will be fetched from the OTR profile. Candidates should update their OTR profile if any additional documents need to be uploaded in support of the advertised post.
Important Instructions
- Only online applications through apscrecruitment.in will be accepted; no other means or mode of application will be considered
- Applicants may also fill their form through Common Service Centres (CSCs) if they do not have debit card/internet banking facilities
- Fee once paid will not be refunded; in case of a double debit for the same transaction, the bank will automatically refund the excess within 5-7 working days
- Applications will not be considered valid unless the fee payment is completed
- Candidates’ admission at all stages of selection is purely provisional and subject to scrutiny; if found ineligible at any stage, their candidature will be cancelled by the Commission
- No request for withdrawal of candidature after submission will be entertained under any circumstances
- No candidate will be allowed to change their claimed category/sub-category at any stage of the selection process
- Furnishing wrong, erroneous, or incorrect information may lead to disqualification for a period specified by the Commission; false declarations will lead to rejection and possible penalty as per prevailing rules
- Candidates must be in sound bodily health and, if selected, must undergo medical examination as required by the Government
- Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate
- Candidates will be informed of the final result through the APSC website/newspaper; interim enquiries about the result will not be attended to
- The Commission does not defray travelling or other expenses of candidates summoned for interview
