Eligibility Criteria for TISS Research Associate Mandla Project
Educational Qualifications (as on 30 June 2026): PhD Scholar who is either in the advanced stage of dissertation writing or has already submitted the final dissertation in the areas of Social Sciences (Economics, Social Work, Social Entrepreneurship, Sociology, Management, Rural Management, Development Studies are preferable). Candidates who have already received their PhD Degree are also encouraged to apply. Others please do not apply.

- Community Interaction in Rural Areas
- Household-level Survey in Rural Areas
- Literature Review
- Quantitative Data Processing and Cleaning
- Conducting In-depth Interviews, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) and Observation
- Transcribing Qualitative Data and Qualitative Data Analysis
- Quantitative Data Analysis
- Writing Research Reports
- Knowledge of software: Atlas.ti, SPSS, STATA, Python, N-Vivo (preferable)
Job Roles & Responsibilities
- Frequent travel to Mandla, Madhya Pradesh
- Identify households and stakeholders for interviews and FGDs
- Quantitative & Qualitative Data Collection in villages of Mandla District
- Quantitative Data Cleaning, Processing and Analysis
- Transcribing Qualitative Data and Analysis
- Ensure timely delivery of preliminary analysis
- Writing Research Report
