Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MBBS degree from a recognized University/Institute or an equivalent degree.
• Only candidates who completed their internship after 01.03.2024 and before 01.07.2026 are eligible. Candidates furnishing an internship certificate dated prior to 01.03.2024 will have their candidature cancelled.

Age Limit

Age eligibility is reckoned as on 01.07.2026.

If a sufficient number of eligible candidates are not available as per the above criteria, age relaxation up to a maximum of 40 years, irrespective of category, is admissible as per Circular No. F.No.121/26/2010/H&FW/OSHFW/1996-2045 dated 10.06.2011 of the Government of NCT of Delhi.

OBC and EWS certificates will only be accepted if issued by the Govt. of NCT of Delhi. The OBC certificate must clearly mention the candidate’s Non-Creamy Layer status for the current financial year.

Salary / Pay Scale

Selected Junior Residents will be placed at Pay Matrix Level-10 as per the 7th CPC, with a Basic Pay of Rs. 56,100/- per month, along with other admissible allowances.

Application Fee

There is no application/interview fee for this recruitment. The notice explicitly states no fee is payable for appearing in the interview.

Selection Process

• Selection is made strictly on a merit basis through a walk-in interview only; there is no written examination.
• The decision of the Chairman and Selection Board is final in the event of any dispute, and it is binding on all candidates.
• The Medical Director reserves the right to change, amend, or cancel the interview scheme at any stage, before or after the interview.
• Selected candidates must join immediately; failure to do so will lead to automatic cancellation of the offer of appointment.

Important Instructions

• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.
• Appointment is subject to verification of certificates related to educational qualification, age, DMC registration, FMGE Pass Certificate, and internship completion.
• Candidates who have concealed information about earlier Junior Resident service (Regular/Adhoc) in any Government Hospital will have their candidature cancelled.
• The hospital reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, or to cancel/reject any or all applications without assigning any reason.

Terms of Contractual Appointment

• Junior Residents are entitled to 2½ days of leave per calendar month; no other leave is granted, and leave does not carry forward to the next month.
• LTC, pensionary benefits, Group Insurance, Study Leave, and Child Care Leave are not admissible.
• Maternity leave/Miscarriage leave will be granted as per the provisions of the Maternity Benefits (Amendment) Act 2017 to appointed female Junior Residents.
• The contract may be terminated by either side with 10 days’ notice or salary in lieu thereof.
• This is a purely contractual selection and does not confer any right to regularization or permanent absorption.
• Private practice of any kind is not allowed during the tenure.
• Selected candidates who accept the offer and join the hospital will not be issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for any purpose, including passport or visa.
• In case of any legal dispute, the jurisdiction of Courts will be Delhi/New Delhi only.
