  • The left thumb impression must also be uploaded separately after the signature (right thumb if left is missing).
  • Mobile phone photographs of signatures are not accepted.

Troubleshooting & Common Mistakes

Thousands of applications get rejected each recruitment cycle due to avoidable errors. Here are the most common pitfalls and how to avoid them:

Wrong department priority filled: The department preference column (Secondary Education vs Sanskrit Education) is permanent once submitted. Double-check your choice before clicking Final Submit, as no corrections are allowed on this field afterward.

OTR category mismatch: Your category (General/Reserved), disability status, and home state filled at OTR stage will automatically appear in your application and cannot be changed. Make sure these details are accurate before completing OTR, as this is the most common cause of eligibility rejection.

Blurred or rejected live photo: The live photo captured via OTR is automatically fetched into your admit card. If it is blurry or has a dark background, your application can be rejected. Sit in a well-lit room, look directly at the camera, and retake until the photo is clear before final submission.

Payment transaction pending: Complete your OTR fee payment well before the deadline. If a transaction is pending (not confirmed), verify it before the last date – unresolved payment issues after the deadline are the candidate’s responsibility.

Using someone else’s SSO ID: Applications submitted from an SSO ID other than the candidate’s own are invalid and will be rejected. Always use your personal SSO ID.

Not darkening the ‘E’ bubble for unattempted questions: In the exam, every question must have one of five circles darkened. Leaving more than 10% of questions with no circle darkened results in automatic disqualification. If you skip a question intentionally, darken option E.

Submitting application without reading the notification: Several eligibility conditions (such as Scheduled Area residency requirements, ex-servicemen computer qualification waivers, and OBC non-creamy layer certificate validity) have nuanced rules. Read the full notification before applying.

Government employees not obtaining NOC: Candidates already in government service or public sector undertakings must inform their employer in writing and obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) before the document verification stage. Failure to produce the NOC can disqualify even a provisionally selected candidate.
