 NCERT SRA and JPF Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfil the eligibility conditions related to educational qualification, experience, and age limit as detailed below for each post.

 NCERT SRA and JPF Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

For Senior Research Associate (SRA) – Programme 7.01

  • Post Graduation in Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Language/Education with a minimum of 55% marks for General category candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST/PH candidates.
  • Experience: Two years’ experience in the relevant field. The SRA must submit an attested copy of the salary slip/bank statement/ITR at the time of interview.
  • Desirable: B.Ed./M.Ed., basic knowledge of computer, proficiency in MS Office, data processing and report preparation, proficiency in data analysis software, good communication skills, and experience in field work and data collection.

For Junior Project Fellow (JPF) – Programme 7.01

  • Post Graduation in Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Language/Education with minimum 55% marks (General) / 50% marks (SC/ST/PH).
  • Desirable: B.Ed./M.Ed., basic computer knowledge, MS Office proficiency, data processing, field work and data collection experience, good communication skills.

For Junior Project Fellow (JPF) – Programme 7.03

  • Post Graduation in Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Language/Education with minimum 55% marks (General) / 50% marks (SC/ST/PH).
  • Desirable: B.Ed./M.Ed., basic computer knowledge, MS Office proficiency, data processing, good communication skills.

For Junior Project Fellow (JPF) – Programme 7.04

  • Post Graduation in Mathematics/Science/Social Science/Language/Education with minimum 55% marks (General) / 50% marks (SC/ST/PH).
  • Desirable: B.Ed./M.Ed., basic computer knowledge, MS Office proficiency, data processing, experience in translation of materials from English to Hindi and vice versa, good communication skills.

Note: Experience pertaining to Research/Teaching/Training/Extension Activities/Content Development should be related to School Education. Time spent by a candidate pursuing M.Phil and/or Ph.D. degree shall not count as teaching or research experience for eligibility purposes.

Candidates must carry the following documents at the time of registration and interview:

  • Self-attested copies of all testimonials satisfying eligibility
  • Experience certificates clearly mentioning the duration of experience, post held, and name of the institution
  • Original certificates and other supporting documents for verification
  • Attested copy of salary slip/bank statement/ITR (mandatory for candidates claiming experience for posts with consolidated remuneration of Rs. 40,000/- and above)
  • SC/ST/PH certificate copy, if applicable
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) or employer-endorsed application, for candidates already employed
  • Recent passport-size photograph (as per the application format)

There is no online application process for this recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates must follow these steps:

  1. Attach self-attested copies of testimonials and experience certificates.

  3. Report for registration at the Department of Curriculum Studies & Development, Room No. 210, Second Floor, CIET Building, NCERT, New Delhi, between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM on 15th July 2026.
  4. Appear for the walk-in interview on the same day for the respective post applied.

Note: No candidate will be entertained for registration after 12:30 PM.
