MHT CET Merit List 2026: Tie-Breaking Rule
If two or more candidates score the same marks in MHT CET 2026, the State CET Cell applies the following tie-breaking criteria in order:
- Higher marks in the Mathematics section of MHT CET 2026 get the higher rank.
- If the tie persists, higher marks in the Physics section of MHT CET 2026 are considered.
- If the tie still persists, higher marks in the Chemistry section of MHT CET 2026 are considered.
- If unresolved, a higher combined percentage in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the qualifying board exam is considered.
- If still tied, a higher percentage in Mathematics in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam is considered.
- If still tied, a higher percentage in Physics in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam is considered.
- If all the above are exhausted, a higher percentage in Chemistry in the 10+2 (or equivalent) exam decides the rank.
