JNU Non-Teaching Recruitment 2026 – Common Mistakes to Avoid

Many candidates lose their chance at JNU Non-Teaching Jobs 2026 not due to ineligibility, but due to avoidable errors during the application process. Here are the most critical mistakes to watch out for:

  1. Not paying fee per post: If you apply for multiple posts, each post requires a separate fee payment. A single payment does not cover multiple applications.
  2. Ignoring experience requirements: Many posts – including Group A – have strict experience prerequisites in specific pay levels. Applying without meeting the experience clause will result in rejection at document verification.
  3. Uploading incorrect documents: Ensure your disability certificate (if applicable) clearly states a minimum 40% disability. Invalid certificates will disqualify PwD candidates from category benefits.
  4. Missing the OBC creamy layer clause: OBC candidates must ensure their certificate explicitly states they do not belong to the Creamy Layer and is valid for Central Government employment.
  5. Applying for UR vacancies as a reserved candidate expecting relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates opting for unreserved vacancies are not eligible for age relaxation or marks relaxation applicable to their category.
  6. Not reading the skill test norms carefully: For stenography posts, not more than 5% mistakes are permissible. Many candidates overlook this accuracy threshold and lose the qualifying stage despite adequate speed.
