GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the last date of application i.e., 05-07-2026. All original certificates of educational qualification, age, caste, experience, and other qualifications must be in possession at the time of application.

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2026 – Age Limit

Minimum age: 18 years. Age is calculated as on the last date of application (05-07-2026). Under no circumstances shall the maximum age (with all relaxations) exceed 45 years for any category.

Age Relaxation Details: General Female candidates get 5 years additional relaxation. All reserved category Male candidates get 5 years relaxation. All reserved category Female candidates get 10 years relaxation. General Divyang Male candidates get 10 years relaxation. General Divyang Female candidates get 15 years relaxation. Reserved Divyang Male candidates get 15 years relaxation. Reserved Divyang Female candidates get 20 years relaxation. Ex-Servicemen are entitled to relaxation equal to the period of military service rendered plus 3 additional years (maximum up to 45 years). Maximum age with all relaxations must not exceed 45 years under any circumstances.

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2026 – Selection Process

Selection will be based on merit in the OMR-based Competitive Written Examination. All applicants will be called for the 100-mark OMR Written Examination. Based on merit, candidates will be shortlisted at a ratio of 1.5 candidates per vacancy for Document Verification. A Provisional Selection List and Waiting List will be prepared after document verification. The Waiting List will remain valid for 2 years from date of publication or until the result of the next recruitment examination for this post – whichever is earlier.

• Stage 1 – OMR Written Examination: 100 marks / 100 questions / 1 hour. All registered candidates will be called. No minimum qualifying marks; however, candidates scoring 0 (zero) or negative marks will not be eligible for document verification.
• Stage 2 – Document Verification: Candidates shortlisted at a 1:1.5 ratio per vacancy based on written exam merit will be called. Provisional Selection List prepared after document verification.
• Special Weightage: Widow candidates get 5% additional marks added to their OMR score at all stages for priority consideration (subject to not having remarried). Sports persons (who have represented at National/International, Inter-University, or AISS level in specified sports) also get 5% additional marks on OMR score.
• Performance Review: Appointed candidates on contract will have their performance reviewed after 2 years; continuation for remaining period is subject to satisfactory performance. After successful completion of 5 years, candidates become eligible for regular appointment as per the Corporation’s prevailing pay scale.

GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2026 – Exam Pattern & Syllabus

OMR-based Competitive Written Examination Pattern:

The question paper will be based on Class 12 standard (Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board). Medium of examination: Gujarati for all subjects except English Grammar (which will be in English). 1 mark per question; 100 questions in total; duration 1 hour. Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer, blank/unattempted, overwritten, or multiple-option responses. If the candidate marks option (E) on the OMR sheet to indicate they do not wish to answer, no negative marking will be applied for that question. Candidates must use Blue or Black ballpoint pen only.

• Step 3: Click “Educational Qualification” → Fill minimum educational details. Click “Computer Knowledge” → Fill computer qualification details.
• Step 4: Click “Self Declaration” → Accept terms by clicking “Yes” → Click “Save” to complete online application submission.
• Step 5: Upload Photo (JPG, max 10 KB; size 5 cm height x 3.6 cm width) and Signature (JPG, max 10 KB; size 2.5 cm height x 7.5 cm width).

Important Instructions for GSRTC Conductor Bharti 2026 Candidates

• Only online applications via https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in will be accepted; no other mode will be entertained.
• If multiple applications are submitted, only the last submitted (final) application will be considered; all previous applications will be automatically cancelled. Fee paid for previous applications will not be refunded.
• If the last submitted application has no fee payment, that application along with all previous ones will be rejected.
• Candidates in GSRTC / Government / Semi-Government service must inform their department/office within 7 days of applying and must obtain and submit a NOC at the time of document verification.
• The date of birth as per SSC Board Certificate or School Leaving Certificate will be the final accepted date of birth; any subsequent change will not be permitted. Birth extract/certificate is NOT accepted.
• Class 12 qualifications, Conductor Licence, Badge, Computer certificate, caste certificates, and all other documents must have been obtained before the last date of application; documents dated after the last date will not be accepted.
• Only original Gujarat domicile residents of SC/ST/SEBC/EWS categories will be entitled to reservation benefits. Candidates from other states are not entitled to reservation.
• Reservation category once mentioned in the application form cannot be changed later. If the caste stated in the application does not match the certificate, the application will be rejected – even if the candidate is eligible under the General category.
• Candidates must not bring any handwritten/printed material, calculator, mobile phone, smart watch, earphone, earbuds, or any electronic device to the examination hall; violation will result in disqualification.
• Any identification mark, writing, or alphabet in the OMR answer sheet will result in disqualification from the examination.
• Inclusion in the final Selection List does not automatically entitle a candidate to appointment; the appointing authority’s decision regarding suitability is final.
• If any information provided in the application is found to be false, the application will be cancelled at any stage, and the Corporation reserves the right to take legal action.
• Candidates with pending criminal cases at any court of law at the time of appointment will have their applications rejected.
• RTI applications for recruitment-related information will not be entertained until the entire recruitment process is completed.
• Legal jurisdiction for any dispute arising out of this recruitment shall be Ahmedabad only.
