ESIC Gwalior Recruitment 2026: Important Dates
- First Walk-in Interview Date: 29 July 2026
- Reporting Time: 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM (no candidate is allowed for document verification after 11:00 AM)
- Subsequent Interviews: 3rd Wednesday of every month
- If 3rd Wednesday is a gazetted holiday: Interview shifts to the immediately following Thursday, or as notified

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
For Senior Resident (1 Year and 3 Years):
- MBBS from an institution recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)/Medical Council of India/State Medical Council
- Post-Graduate Diploma/Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant discipline recognized by NMC/MCI/National Board of Examinations
- Registration with NMC/Madhya Pradesh Medical Council is mandatory
- No prior experience needed for PG qualification holders
- Alternative route: MBBS candidates with 2 years of experience (including at least 1 year in the concerned specialty) from a government or private hospital (not a private clinic) may be appointed for 1 year as Senior Resident, but only if PG-qualified doctors are not available
For Full Time/Part Time Specialist:
- MBBS recognized by NMC/MCI/State Medical Council
- PG Degree/Diploma (MD/MS/DNB) in the relevant specialty
- Registration with NMC/Madhya Pradesh Medical Council
- Experience: 3 years post-PG Degree, OR minimum 5 years post-PG Diploma in the concerned specialty

Selection Process
- Candidates report at the venue between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the scheduled date with the filled application (Annexure-A) and all documents
- Document verification is conducted first
- Only candidates whose documents are verified and found eligible are allowed to appear for the interview
- Selection is based on the interview and is subject to a medical fitness certificate issued by the Medical Board at ESIC Hospital, Gwalior
- The decision of the selection board is final
Documents Required for Walk-in Interview
Candidates must bring originals along with one set of self-attested photocopies of the following:
- Identity Proof (PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card, Aadhaar Card)
- Address Proof (Ration Card, Passport, Driving License, Aadhaar Card)
- Date of Birth Certificate (Class 10th Certificate)
- Two recent passport-size photographs
- Class 10th and 12th mark sheets/certificates
- Proof of Educational Qualification (MBBS, MD/MS/DNB, etc. as per NMC guidelines)
- Internship Completion Certificate
- NMC/Madhya Pradesh Medical Council Registration and Renewal
- Madhya Pradesh Medical Council Registration (within 30 days of joining, if not already registered)
- Additional Medical Qualification Registration Certificate
- Experience Certificates (where applicable)
- Reservation Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH) in the Government of India prescribed format; OBC certificate must show non-creamy layer status and be from the central list
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, if already employed
- Demand Draft, as applicable
- Aadhaar/PAN card and bank passbook copies (required from selected candidates at the time of joining)
How to Apply for ESIC Gwalior Recruitment 2026
- Download and fill the application form in the prescribed format (Annexure-A)
- Attach a recent passport-size photograph and self-attested copies of all required certificates
- Prepare the Demand Draft (if applicable) in favour of ‘ESI Fund Account No. 1’, payable at Gwalior
- Report directly to the Medical Superintendent’s Office (Room #1), ESIC Hospital, Tansen Road, Gwalior, between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM on the scheduled interview date
- Undergo document verification, followed by the interview if found eligible
There is no online application process for this recruitment – candidates must apply and appear in person on the walk-in date.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the post
- Selected candidates must furnish a security deposit of Rs. 10,000/- via DD/Banker’s Cheque in favour of ‘ESIC Fund A/c No.1’, payable at Gwalior – refundable after successful completion of the contract
- Selected candidates must sign an agreement with the Medical Superintendent on a Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 1,000/-
- Private practice is not allowed for engaged Specialists and Senior Residents
- Specialists must be available on call 24×7 and hold a professional indemnity insurance policy (minimum sum assured ranges from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh depending on specialty); proof must be submitted within 7 days of engagement
- No hostel accommodation, quarters, or uniform will be provided
- The contractual engagement can be terminated by either side with one month’s prior notice, without assigning any reason
- Selected candidates get no claim for regularization, PF, pension, gratuity, seniority, or promotion
- Full-time Specialists get priority over part-time appointees
- If a regular incumbent joins, the contractual appointment will be terminated immediately at the Medical Superintendent’s discretion
