Vacancy Details

Ayurveda Teaching Posts:

• Professor (Ayurveda): 05 posts (Rasa Shastra, Panchakarma, Prasuti Tantra & Stri Roga, Dravyaguna, Shalakya Tantra)
• Associate Professor (Ayurveda): 04 posts (Roga Nidan, Kayachikitsa, Kaumarabhritya, Samhita & Siddhanta)

Homoeopathy Teaching Posts:

• Professor (Homoeopathy): 02 posts (Organon of Medicine, Case Taking & Repertory)
• Professor (Homoeopathy Allied Subjects): 02 posts (Surgery, Practice of Medicine)
• Associate Professor (Homoeopathy): 01 post (Materia Medica)
• Associate Professor (Homoeopathy Allied Subjects): 03 posts (Obstetrics & Gynecology, Anatomy, Physiology)

Non-Teaching / Medical Specialist Posts:

• Obstetrician & Gynecologist: 01
• Surgical Specialist: 01
• Pediatrician: 01
• Radiologist: 01

NEIAH Shillong Eligibility Criteria 2026

For Professor (Ayurveda / Homoeopathy):

• PG Degree in concerned subject.
• 13 years combined teaching/research experience (with minimum 2 years in Level-12 + NPA).
• Minimum 5 research publications.
• Valid NTET certificate / Teacher’s Code.

For Associate Professor:

• PG Degree in concerned subject.
• 9 years combined experience (with minimum 3 years in Level-11 + NPA).
• Minimum 3 research publications.
• Valid NTET certificate / Teacher’s Code.

Desirable for all: PhD in concerned discipline.

For Medical Specialists (Direct/Deputation): PG Degree + 7 years experience (for most specialist posts).

Pay Scales (7th CPC)

• Professor: Level-13 (Rs. 1,23,100 – 2,15,900) + NPA
• Associate Professor: Level-12 (Rs. 78,800 – 2,09,200) + NPA
