RITES Limited is a multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy organisation that provides services across transport infrastructure, buildings, and related technologies. Through this notification, RITES Ltd invites applications from experienced civil engineering professionals for engagement as Individual Consultants on a CV-based, contractual basis.

RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Important Dates

Document scrutiny and interviews will be conducted either in person at the RITES Corporate Office, Shikhar, Plot No. 01, Sector-29, Gurugram-122001, or through video conferencing/online. RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

The RITES Recruitment 2026 notification covers four categories of Individual Consultant posts, each with its own experience requirement, tenure, and pay. All positions are based in Kolkata, West Bengal.

Category 1: VC No. YP/63/26

Category 2: VC No. YP/64/26

Category 3: VC No. YP/65/26

Category 4: VC No. YP/66/26

Note: The period spent in training (except on-the-job training), internship, teaching, academic assignments, fellowship, or PhD research shall not be counted as part of the qualifying experience.

RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for any of the four RITES Individual Consultant categories must satisfy the educational qualification, experience, and age criteria described below. Eligibility is reckoned as on the last date of application submission, i.e., 26 July 2026.

Educational Qualification

All four categories require a B.E. or B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering. Where a specialisation is claimed as part of the qualifying degree, candidates must submit a certificate from their university or institution clearly specifying that specialisation.

Work Experience

• All categories require a total of 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of specific experience in bridge design, modelling, and analysis is required, using software such as MIDAS, Sofistik, or STAAD depending on the category.
• Relevant project experience includes major river bridges, ROBs, flyovers, underpasses, and grade separators on highway projects.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all four categories under RITES Recruitment 2026 is 60 years. No extension of engagement will be given beyond the age of 65 years, even for consultants who are subsequently granted annual extensions.

RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Salary / Payment for Services

Payment will be released within one week after completion of each month, based on recorded attendance. Individual Consultants are entitled to payment for services only and are not eligible for statutory benefits such as PF, ESI, or Gratuity. Applicable Income Tax will be deducted at source, and GST, where applicable, will be admissible to the consultant. If the contract exceeds one year, remuneration may be reviewed annually based on the escalation received in the client’s fee.

RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for RITES Individual Consultant posts consists of the following stages:

1. Online Application: Candidates submit their application through the RITES career portal.
2. Document Scrutiny/Verification: Eligible candidates are provisionally allowed to appear for document scrutiny, where educational and experience claims are verified against original documents.
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview, where they are evaluated on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, and communication and interpersonal skills. The mode of selection is Interview only.

Following the interview, results (Suitable/Not Found Suitable) will be uploaded on the RITES website along with the post name, registration number, and candidate name as recommended by the selection committee. Since the engagement is for deployment at a client site, an offer letter will be issued only after the client approves the shortlisted candidate’s CV, and actual deployment remains subject to project award and company requirement.

Documents Required for RITES Individual Consultant Recruitment 2026

Candidates must carry self-attested photocopies along with originals of the following documents (in chronological order) for document verification/interview:

• One passport-size photograph
• High School certificate as proof of date of birth
• Certificates and mark sheets of all academic and professional qualifications (10th, 12th, Diploma/Graduation/Post-Graduation, as applicable)
• Experience certificates from previous employers supporting claims made in the application
• Proof of identity and address (Passport, Voter ID, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Card, etc.)
• PAN Card
• Proof of the different periods of experience claimed, if applicable
