IHMCL Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a combination of any of the above engineering branches from a recognized University/Institute.

Candidates who are in the final year of their Engineering Degree programme and are yet to receive their final results may also apply, provided they fulfil all other eligibility criteria. Such candidates must submit proof of having passed the qualifying examination in the form of a Degree Certificate or Provisional Certificate issued by the University/Institute by 31 August 2026, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.

Recruitment Criteria

Recruitment is by direct recruitment through a valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) Score in Computer Science and Information Technology (CS), Electronics and Communications Engineering (EC), or Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA) discipline.

Age Limit

The age of applicants must not be less than 21 years and not exceeding 30 years as on the last date of receipt of online applications. The crucial date for determining eligibility is the last date prescribed for receipt of online applications.

All the above concessions are concurrent – if a candidate is eligible for more than one concession, only the concession with the highest permissible limit will be granted. Age relaxation for ex-servicemen is subject to the conditions that continuous service rendered is not less than six months after attestation, and the resultant age after deduction does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years, as per DoPT OM No. 15012/2/2010-Estt.(D) dated 27 March 2012.

The post of Systems Engineer (ITS) carries an E-2 Grade pay scale of Rs. 50,000 – Rs. 1,60,000 under the IDA pattern. Selection for the post of Systems Engineer (ITS) is based on the following criteria:

  • Merit is determined on the basis of the valid GATE Score of the year 2025.
  • IHMCL reserves the right to invite candidates for interview as per a cut-off for the respective category, to be decided subsequently by IHMCL.
  • If the number of applications received is large, IHMCL will adopt a shortlisting criterion to restrict the number of candidates called for interaction/interview to a reasonable number, by a method decided by the Selection Committee.
  • For the final merit list, if two or more candidates in the same category have equal scores/marks, the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the merit list.

IHMCL Recruitment 2026: Reservation Guidelines

  • Reservation benefit under community categories is available only if the candidate’s caste is included in the list of reserved communities issued by the Central Government.
  • OBC candidates must submit an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued during the year 2026-2027, clearly indicating that the candidate does not belong to the creamy layer.
  • EWS candidates must meet the criteria issued by the Central Government and possess an Income & Asset Certificate based on income for Financial Year 2025-2026, issued after 1 April 2026.
  • Candidates seeking reservation as SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS must submit a certificate in the prescribed proforma only, from the designated authority, with the caste/community name and spelling exactly matching the central government’s notified lists.
  • No change in the community status already indicated in the online application will be allowed.
  • Candidates who fail to submit valid Caste/Category certificates will not be considered for reservation; if otherwise eligible under Unreserved (UR) criteria, their candidature will be considered against the UR vacancy only.

  • The posts carry all-India service liability; only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
  • Candidates are advised to fill the online application carefully, as no request for alteration/modification of entries will be entertained after submission.
  • In case of multiple applications by the same candidate, only the last submitted application will be considered; earlier applications will be rejected.
