How Was the GPSC Assistant Inspector Merit List Prepared?

- As per Rule 9, a waiting list equal to 20% of the total advertised posts has been prepared.
- Reserved category candidates (EWS/SC/ST/SEBC) who met or exceeded the general category qualifying standard without availing any age or marks relaxation have been classified as Meritorious Reserved Category (MRC) candidates and recommended against unreserved posts, as per applicable G.A.D. circulars.
- Candidates with sports qualifications received bonus marks equal to 5% of their obtained marks, as per Government Resolution No. CRR-1077-2660-G.2, dated 25 February 1980.
- In case of a tie in marks, preference in merit is given to the older candidate (based on date of birth).
- The result has also taken into account Supreme Court judgments in Rajesh Kumar Daria vs. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (2007) and Public Service Commission, Uttaranchal vs. Mamta Bist & Others (2010).

Women’s Reservation in GPSC Assistant Inspector Result
This section explains how the women’s reservation requirement was fulfilled in the final selection, including the number of seats reserved versus filled.
As per applicable G.A.D. notifications and circulars on women’s reservation, 50 women candidates were required to be selected against the advertised posts. However, only 24 women candidates qualified for selection. The remaining 26 posts reserved for women were filled by male candidates of the respective category, in line with GAD Circular No. CRR/1096/213/G-2 dated 22 May 1997.
Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-Servicemen Selection

- Provisions of the Commission’s Office Orders dated 17 September 2025 and 20 September 2025 were considered for selecting Ex-Servicemen candidates.
- No PwD candidate from Group-C was available for the examination. As clarified by G.A.D. vide letter No. CRR/232025/01/G-2 dated 29 January 2026, the PwD-reserved posts have been filled by non-PwD candidates of the respective category. These PwD posts will be carried forward, and a supernumerary post will be created if a PwD candidate is available in the next recruitment attempt.
