SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 – Vacancy Details

A total of 49 vacancies (including 2 backlog vacancies for Deputy Manager) have been announced for Assistant Manager (Law) and Deputy Manager (Law) posts. The vacancies are distributed across SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR categories. PwBD reservation is horizontal and is included within the overall vacancy of the respective parent category. SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 – Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date 31.05.2026. Educational qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement. Candidates must possess the post-basic qualification and relevant full-time experience as on the specified date. Experience gained during internship and teaching/training experience will NOT be counted for eligibility. The relevant experience certificate from the employer must specifically state that the candidate had experience in the related field as required.

SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 – Age Limit

The crucial date for age calculation is 31.05.2026. Age relaxation is admissible to SC/ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen candidates as per Government of India guidelines. Cumulative age relaxation will not be available. No change in category is permitted after registration of online application.

SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 – Application Fee

The application fee and intimation charges are non-refundable. The fee must be paid online through the payment gateway using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking. Application fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account nor can it be adjusted for any other examination or selection.

SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 – Selection Process & Exam Pattern

The selection will be based on Online Written Test followed by Interview. The Online Written Test will be conducted tentatively in August 2026. Call letters will be uploaded on the Bank’s website and intimated via SMS/email. Final Merit list will be prepared based on normalization of marks scored in Online Written Test and Interview with 70:30 weightage respectively.

Tie-Breaking Rule

Tie-Break In case more than one candidate scores the same cut-off marks in the final merit list, such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order.

How to Apply for SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27

Candidates must apply online through the Bank’s official website at https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings. No other mode of application will be entertained. Hard copy of application and other documents need not be sent to the office. The process of registration is completed only when the fee is deposited with the Bank through online mode on or before the last date for fee payment.

Candidates are advised to apply online well before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid disconnection/inability/failure to log on to the website due to heavy load. After final submission, no change/correction/modification will be allowed under any circumstances.

Important Instructions for SBI SCO Law Officer Recruitment 2026-27 Candidates

  • Online applications only – no other mode of application will be accepted; no hard copy to be sent to the Bank.
  • Candidates are NOT allowed to apply for more than one post.
  • In case of multiple applications for the same post, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained and fee paid for other registrations will stand forfeited.
  • Candidates must have a valid Email ID and Mobile Number active till the declaration of result and final selection.
  • After expiry of the online application window, no change/correction/modification will be allowed under any circumstances.
  • Admission to all stages (Online Test, Shortlisting, Interview) will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions – qualifying in Online Test/Shortlisting is provisional and candidature is subject to document verification at interview.
  • Internship experience and teaching/training experience will NOT be counted for eligibility.
  • CIBIL: Candidates who have defaulted in repayment of loans/credit card dues with Banks/NBFCs/Financial Institutions and have not regularized/repaid the outstanding by the date of issuance of offer of recruitment shall NOT be eligible for appointment.
  • Candidates serving in Govt./Quasi Govt./PSU/Nationalized Banks must submit NOC from employer at the time of interview; failing which candidature will not be considered.
  • OBC-NCL candidates must submit certificate issued between 01.04.2026 and date of interview; EWS candidates must have Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2025-26 on or before last date of online application.
  • Outstation candidates called for interview will be reimbursed economy class airfare (shortest route) up to a maximum of Rs. 10,000 (to-and-fro) or actual travel cost (whichever is lower) on submission of original flight tickets/invoice and boarding pass. Local transport will not be reimbursed.
  • All Changes/Updates/Corrigendum/Results/Schedules/List of shortlisted/selected candidates will be hosted on the Bank’s website only. No hard copy of call letter/advice will be sent by post.
